With 4 indoor and 2 outdoor courts, it’s always tennis season at Warsaw Tennis & Fitness Club. Whether you play competitively or for recreation, tennis is a great way to stay in shape, make new friends and have fun doing it. Our primary goal at club is to provide members with a fun, relaxed and competitive environment where they can improve their tennis skills, stay fit and have access to high quality tennis instruction.

Warsaw Tennis & Fitness Club offers various junior tennis programs, summer camps, USTA Adult Team tennis, women’s travel teams, adult clinics, adult leagues, adult cardio tennis, private & group instruction, permanent court time and ball machine.

Initially juniors are placed in the appropriate age group. Based on their progress, they are moved to other programs. Please contact Junior Head Tennis Pro if you have questions.

Pee Wee – Ages 3-6

Pee Wee Tennis is designed to introduce children to the game of tennis in a healthy and enjoyable manner. Each child will develop their hand-eye coordination, balance, movement, racket skills, have fun and play games. Pee Wee Tennis encourages our future tennis stars to exercise, concentrate, learn, and above all else—have fun.

Thunder – Ages 6-11

In this group, kids will learn tennis fundamentals and play quickly in a way that is both enjoyable and rewarding. Players will learn and practice basic strokes, receive a more in-depth understanding of tennis rules and an introduction to scoring. The players will undergo testing and evaluation before they are moved to next level.

Top Flight – Ages 9-13

Class will focus on stroke fundamentals; forehand, backhand, volleys and serve. Players take a first look at match play, during which they will begin to learn about competitive tennis and tournaments. Constant evaluation will lead the player into the next level. Top flight is the transition class into the Junior Academy or High School Team program. Moving players from regular to advanced programs is subject to the Head Pro’s discretion.

Junior Academy – Ages up to 18

Junior Academy is for players looking for future in tennis. This includes mostly high school varsity players and young players who can compete and develop into good tennis players. This class will stress development of the players to become High School team players. Anticipation, movement, focus and shot selection are just a few of the more advanced techniques learned at this stage of development. Skills, attitude and competitiveness are stressed equally in this class.

High School Team – 8th grade and above

This class is for high school tennis players who are interested to improve their overall tennis skills and potentially get into the high school tennis teams. Class involves focusing on fundamentals in the beginning with plenty of point play and games.

College Prep Academy

This is the top level class in the junior programs. Players to this class will be selected through match play, testing and discretion of the Junior Head Pro. Players must posses the drive to become a college level tennis player or an outstanding high school player. The challenge ladder will be very important and players will have to commit and meet practice requirements once entering the academy. Class format is intense drill and play, focusing on all strokes, and strategies.

Adult Beginners

This program is for complete beginners and will provide an overview of the serve, volley, forehand and backhand. In general, classes are good for those who want to work on their technique first before performing tennis drills or for people who want to correct their technique and go back to basics. This class is more instructional than game play and drills.

Cardio Tennis

Cardio tennis is high intensity, heart pounding, fun group activity, featuring heart pumping tennis drills and games that give players of all abilities the ultimate, high-energy workout.
You can elevate your heart rate, burn more calories than regular workout, receive short cycles of high intensity workouts, with periods of rest and achieve a great workout while improving your tennis skills. Program includes a short, dynamic warm-up, a cardio workout phase and a cool-down phase. Each phase consists of drills specifically designed to be fun, challenging and to get you moving and your heart rate pumping.

3.0 – 4.0 Adults Drills

Based on the NTRP rating, players will participate in various drills though out the week.

Private Group Drills

Based on members’ interest, the Head Pro will conduct various custom private group drills. If you or your team is interested in specific drill, contact Head Pro.

Leagues

Warsaw Tennis & Fitness Club offers a wide variety of singles and doubles leagues for adult and junior members.
